With a strong grasp of the local commercial real estate market and a passion for cultivating connections with tenants, Russ has been instrumental in guiding the growth of 4N. His responsibilities encompass property acquisitions, leasing, and overseeing general business operations. Russ is known for his hands-on approach, actively engaging in various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of properties.

Prior to his involvement in commercial real estate, he enjoyed a decade-long career in business and technology.

Born and raised in Seattle, Russ completed his education at the University of Washington, earning degrees in philosophy and mathematics.

Outside of work, Russ has constructed tiny homes for the Low Income Housing Institute and is currently serving on the University Prep Board. In his leisure time, he finds enjoyment in sailing, skiing, exploring different corners of the globe, and spending time with his family and friends.

Community

A former small business owner and event producer, Heather has chosen to devote her time to strengthen Seattle's greater Pike | Pine neighborhood. Seeing firsthand how fragile the area's small businesses had become and how many people were struggling on nearby streets is what prompted her to get more involved in the community.

In 2024, she partnered with Laura Culberg of GSBA to launch the first community Safety Social with a focus on small business safety at the street level. In February 2026, inspired by Circle the Square, she helped neighbors found Circle the Blocks. In April, she worked with GSBA to bring together business districts from across Capitol Hill and First Hill for the first Economic and Safety Summit.

With volunteers, outreach workers, and service providers, she collects neighborhood data about neighborhood conditions to advocate for safer public spaces, stronger small businesses, better services for individuals needing help, and improving communication and mitigation of major construction impacts. That work has helped secure City and County support for the neighborhood.

Heather serves on the GSBA Safety Advisory Council, the Office of Economic Development's Capitol Hill Retail Task Force, and the Seattle Community Advisory Group for the Crisis Care Center. Drawing on her event production background, she recently started working with nightlife and safety leaders to support this important 24-hour economy.

Heather believes greater Pike and Pine deserves sustained investment because few Seattle neighborhoods play so broad a role. The neighborhood is rooted in LGBTQIA history and is home to eight schools serving roughly 14,000 students. It sits near two universities and several hospitals, and is near Cal Anderson Park and includes a dense mix of residents, independent shops, restaurants, arts organizations, and nightlife. Safety is also personal as her family as experienced assaults in recent years. Together, these experiences have deepened her commitment to finding practical and collaborative solutions.
